Process:
Each horse goes through its own personal creation process. The head pieces are cut from a solid piece of clear Eastern White Pine, which is selectively harvested from a private lot using sustainable forestry methods. Each and every single horse is then designed, planed, cut out, sanded, routed, resanded, painted, decorated and sealed by one artist, ensuring that each one has its own specific personality & characteristics. They are not only a one-of-a-kind toy, but also a handcrafted piece of art. They can be used inside & out, as decoration or a daily playmate.

Materials:
Painted ponies are made from & decorated with an array of different materials, such as wood, acrylic paint, yarn, tassles, fabric trim, rawhide, feathers, beads, twine, assorted brass hardware, felt, leather, faux fur and hair, ribbon, and bandannas, among other things. Ears, both genuine and faux leather, are secured with a set of finish nails at the base. The body is made of a securely fastened wooden dowel, which is also handpainted to coordinate with the theme of the horse. Horses measure 36" from the forehead to the end of the stick, and are finished with a non toxic, water-based sealant to protect the paint and stick from whatever adventures are to come!

Cleaning: To clean the horses, simply spot clean with a damp cloth. Do not leave outside.

Safety Information: Each horse head (including those included in the DIY kits) is sanded smooth, with no rough or sharp edges. Bridles and reins, whether removeable or anchored, are constructed to be strong and "rider resistant". Screw-in brass hardware for reins is standard on some designs and available upon request for an extra firm hold. Horses are coated with a water-based, non toxic sealant from the trusted American brand 'Minwax'. The acrylic (water-based) paint used on these handcrafted horses is made in the USA, and certified "Safe and Non Toxic" by an independent toxicologist. This product may contain small objects such as buttons and other adornments that may pose a choking hazard to small children and is not appropriate for children under 3 years old.

Ultimately, a child’s safety lies in the hands of the caregiver. Please ensure your children are supervised properly during play. No amount of safety measures can take the place of the watchful eye of a loving guardian.
